Community Grimoire

Our Altar Services are equal parts Practical Witching & Ritual Art. From each altar service we facilitate we generate multimedia spells for our Community Grimoire. We intend for community to engage these spells to fortify and inform their personal healing and altar work. These Ritual Art Spells are offered for free as part of our dedication to our work as Community Witches.

​As queer, femme witches, and descendants of diaspora, we seek to embody a faithless devotion.  The work of the Witch is to disrupt. Our commitment is to embolden the integrity, power, grace, and will of radical witchcraft. We see the work of the modern witch to account for, divest from, and dismantle settler-colonialism, cis/het normativity, white supremacy, and systemic kyriarchal oppression from our altars and our magics. The Living Altar focuses our rituals on the empowerment of those these systems seek to erase and destroy.

Please Share: New Community Grimoire Spells in solidarity with folx protesting & healing at this time. If you need specific support & prayers DM us. We’re tending our altars everyday for community. Feel free to adapt this spell and work out rituals that feel right for you. This is not a complete tutorial. If you are not comfortable with or knowledgeable about certain aspects of this spell then modify to suit your comfort and skill level. Make offerings to your protective and helping spirits, call upon their protection for you and your community. Feed your helping spirits. Perform a series of cleansing and protection spells for yourself. Next build a protective amulet and empowerment talisman for you and your community who are protesting. Work with strong ingredients that match your intent; horns, bark, roots, quills, teeth, claws, etc. Work with red thread to symbolize power and ancestral strength and protection. Add flowers and foliage that inspire heart and embolden the will; anything that is available for the season. This is the protective amulet. To draw power to your cause work with a drawing talisman. In this spell the talisman is an anointed chickens foot bound with rose petals and a little something extra. You will place this on your altar during any direct action you participate in. For the banishment we recommend a simple witch bottle/sour jar. Be sure to cut cords between you and the police/object of banishment before starting. Add piss/vinegar, repellent herbs, oils and ingredients; juniper, marjoram, yew, wormwood, broken glass, nails, pins. We also recommend broken mirrors to repel any harmful energies directed toward you. Write a spell of banishment and burn the paper, add the ashes to the jar. Put the lid on the jar and seal it with wax. Shake it up and let it cure on your altar over night. Bury it in a place far from you where it won’t be disturbed. If possible, stealthily, bury at the “residence” of whatever you are banishing. Be sure to cleanse and protect yourself multiple times throughout this process, close all containers and prayers when done. Take a ritual cleansing and healing bath. Rest, feed your altars before & after direct action

For the Protection & Empowerment of Sex Workers “I release fear from navigating my work and money. I honor myself and my services as important and needed. Our hustles are an empowerment of Self and a redistribution of wealth. The witch as slut walks through the world fearlessly, as we know they are the most fearsome. Their eyes pierce every illusion. Their tongue shatters all delusion. Their hearts empower all when in right relationship.” Our reading to empower this spell (or draw your own): East- Ancestor – Remember who you are, where you come from, draw that magic forward South-Ancestor Spell Card – Every past initiation catalyzes your current intent, be wise and clever West- Spring – Allow curiosity, innocence, and joy to kindle the passion of your Wisdom North- Intention – Stay steady. You are Magic. Your hustle has impact, stay focused. Grow. Anchor - Full Moon –Believe in yourself; your work, community, impact. Clarity. Faith. Release. We first performed a clearing, then worked a protection spell! This was centered in protecting your hustles, finances, innocence, curiosity, creativity, passion. Protection in reclaiming your joy. Protection from “those who won’t mind their own business.” We also evoked a ward against the police and false authorities. Watch this spell as often as needed for protection - Protection of emotional, physical, financial, spiritual, sexual self - and to invoke safety on all levels. We also cut cords to the blocks that keep us from receiving our own blessings, including with the false sense of self that causes us to get in our own way. This will serve to cast a boundary around us to clear and prevent us from absorbing energy from clients and the occasionally unsupportive peer. This spell also centered empowering your hustle & strengthening any glamours you cast. We wove an abundance spell to stimulate the drawing in of clients that screen well and the scenes that light you up; as well as a deflection of people’s projections and false perceptions (in particular those not serving of the intentional glamours cast by providers.) This spell was then channeled into an amulet that we will tend for our provider siblings. □□□
